UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion.   UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.”   There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚

The UAE is the second in the world in the people's trust in the government

According to the results of the "Edelman Trust 2021" index, issued yesterday by the American "Edelman" Foundation for Studies and Consultations, the Emirati people's confidence in their government has reached 80%. This year, the UAE retained its advanced position on the "Edelman Trust Index", which annually monitors the levels of people's confidence in central and local governments, the media, commercial companies, non-governmental organizations, and other factors affecting the daily lives of peoples.

Dubai has established itself as the world's leading city in capitalist growth in luxury housing prices

Dubai has consolidated its lead among the world's cities in capital growth in luxury housing prices, according to the results of the "Luxury Housing Index in Global Cities, for the second quarter of 2022", issued by "Knight Frank". The growth rate of luxury real estate prices in Dubai at the end of the first quarter amounted to 64.8%, compared to the end of the second quarter of last year. Thus, Dubai was the city with the highest rise in luxury real estate prices The index of the British company for studies and real estate consultancy indicated that Dubai was the highest among all cities in the world in the annual capital growth in luxury real estate prices at the end of the second quarter of the year.

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile Dam .

The following is a statement by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN on developments concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)  The UAE highlighted the “important role” of the AU, and welcomed the commitment of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to the negotiations led by the union, encouraging them to continue negotiating in “good faith”. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.

Helping the 30 million disabled people in the Middle East
