تشارك دولتنا الإمارات دول العالم الاحتفال بـ«يوم الأرض» الذي يصادف 22 أبريل من كل عام

أولت الدولة، منذ تأسيسها، اهتماماً كبيراً لقضايا الحفاظ على البيئة واستدامتها، مستلهمة ذلك من نهج المغفور له الشيخ زايد، طيب الله ثراه، وأحد أهم حماة الطبيعة في العالم 😍✌

شكلت الظروف الاستثنائية التي يعيشها العالم اليوم جراء تفشي فيروس كورونا فرصة غير مسبوقة لإعادة التوازن لكوكب الأرض، ويبدو أن تلك الظروف أتاحت لكوكب الأرض الحصول على إجازة مؤقتة، وفرصة حقيقية لتعزيز فهم العالم لتأثير الاحتباس الحراري وانبعاثات الغازات الدفيئة على الأرض، كما سجل العالم أكبر انخفاض للانبعاثات والزلازل

أن دعم القيادة الرشيدة مكّن الإمارات من أن تكون نموذجاً عالمياً فريداً و الحمدلله في حماية البيئة واستدامة الموارد الطبيعية، فضلاً عن دورها البارز في حماية البيئة على الصعيد العالمي، والمساهمة بنشر حلول الطاقة المتجددة على نطاق واسع، ولا سيما أن الإمارات ساهمت بتمويل 70 مشروعاً من مشاريع الطاقة المتجددة في 60 دولة، ما ترك تأثيرات إيجابية على البيئة وساهم في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في مجتمعات تلك الدول

The UAE is the second in the world in the people's trust in the government

According to the results of the "Edelman Trust 2021" index, issued yesterday by the American "Edelman" Foundation for Studies and Consultations, the Emirati people's confidence in their government has reached 80%. This year, the UAE retained its advanced position on the "Edelman Trust Index", which annually monitors the levels of people's confidence in central and local governments, the media, commercial companies, non-governmental organizations, and other factors affecting the daily lives of peoples.

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile Dam .

The following is a statement by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN on developments concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) The UAE highlighted the “important role” of the AU, and welcomed the commitment of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to the negotiations led by the union, encouraging them to continue negotiating in “good faith”. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion. UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.” There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚
