The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) Centre in Sharjah implemented a number of humanitarian initiatives that benefited hundreds of labour workers, orphans and their families, as part of the Centre’s humanitarian aid plans during the year 2020.

The Emirates Red Crescent has given out 5,000 food parcels to the most vulnerable members of society as part of its contribution to the Fund of my country UAE the Homeland of Humanity

Those given aid included orphans, people of determination and the elderly





Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is following with great interest the plans and programmes prepared by the ERC to support the efforts aimed to bring the coronavirus under control Insha'Allah 




ERC Centre in Sharjah also implemented the "Winter Gift" initiative which benefits a number of orphans who are sponsored by ERC’s sponsorship programme, by providing them with winter clothing.
And the Centre will continue its initiatives in this regard, in order to enhance its humanitarian mission.



And there are many initiatives undertaken by the Emirates Red Crescent....
And it helps a lot of people and countries in need

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion.   UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.”   There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚
