Police Distribute Face Masks, Personal Protective Supplies in Abu Dhabi

An awareness campaign against the corona virus was launched in Abu Dhabi city. ✌

As usual and among various precautionary steps and protective measures taken by the UAE, and as part of the "For Your Safety" Campaign,

Abu Dhabi Police have distributed facemasks and personal protective supplies among residents of a number of areas in Abu Dhabi and made them aware by using 4 Different languages 👌

Captain Mohamed Musabah Al Saadi, of Abu Dhabi Police, said, "The campaign aims to distribute facemasks among workers in their workplaces and accommodation camps and to boost their awareness of the precautionary measures against the virus, including proper wearing of facemasks and gloves and adhering to social distancing protocols."

Tens of thousands of construction workers are benefitting from the campaign in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain City. 🤗❤

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion. UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.” There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚

The UAE is the second in the world in the people's trust in the government

According to the results of the "Edelman Trust 2021" index, issued yesterday by the American "Edelman" Foundation for Studies and Consultations, the Emirati people's confidence in their government has reached 80%. This year, the UAE retained its advanced position on the "Edelman Trust Index", which annually monitors the levels of people's confidence in central and local governments, the media, commercial companies, non-governmental organizations, and other factors affecting the daily lives of peoples.

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile Dam .

The following is a statement by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN on developments concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) The UAE highlighted the “important role” of the AU, and welcomed the commitment of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to the negotiations led by the union, encouraging them to continue negotiating in “good faith”. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.
