UAE Embassy in Italy distributes winter aid to vulnerable families


Upon the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, the UAE Embassy in Rome began distributing winter aid to vulnerable families and people, in Italy, San Marino and North Macedonia, benefitting 15,000 people.

Thanks to Sheikh Hamdan who is keen to support those affected and provide for their basic needs throughout the year, but he directed the ERC to prioritise winter supplies

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile Dam .

The following is a statement by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN on developments concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)  The UAE highlighted the “important role” of the AU, and welcomed the commitment of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to the negotiations led by the union, encouraging them to continue negotiating in “good faith”. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.
