Golden Visas for high school toppers


Children who scored 95 per cent or more will be handed the 10-year visa, for them and their immediate families.

The move is considered in appreciation of the efforts of outstanding pupils 👏

It is also in keeping with the government's keenness to create an attractive and encouraging environment for talented people, and to attract exceptional minds and talents to be part of the UAE's development.

The 10-year residence visa will be granted to outstanding students who have obtained an excellent grade or what represents an average of at least 95 per cent in the general secondary certificate or its equivalent from public or private schools.

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile Dam .

The following is a statement by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN on developments concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)  The UAE highlighted the “important role” of the AU, and welcomed the commitment of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia to the negotiations led by the union, encouraging them to continue negotiating in “good faith”. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.
