The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asumi, congratulated the United Arab Emirates (leadership and people) for winning the membership of the UN Human Rights Council for the period 2022-2024, considering that this deserved victory is a new achievement added to the record of its achievements in the field of human rights that it has achieved at all Arab, regional and international levels.

The victory of the UAE is the result of its distinguished achievements in the field of promoting and protecting human rights and contributing and interacting positively with the best international practices in this regard, under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the efforts of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.
