The UAE celebrates the one-year anniversary of the arrival of the "Probe of Hope" into orbit around Mars


The UAE celebrates a year since its name was recorded in letters of light in the annals of history, after it became the fifth country in the world to succeed in reaching the orbit of Mars and for the first time, after the “Probe of Hope” within the Emirates project to explore Mars managed in like This day last year made it to the Red Planet amidst unprecedented global follow-up.

The arrival of the "Probe of Hope" coincided with the country's celebrations of the Golden Jubilee in 2021, the best start for the next fifty years.

The "Hope Probe" succeeded at 7:42 pm, February 9, 2021, in entering the capture orbit around the red planet, completing the most difficult stages of its space mission, after a journey that lasted about seven months in space.

With the successful arrival of the Hope probe on this historic day, the UAE became the first to reach the orbit of the red planet among three other space missions that reached Mars during February 2021 💪

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion.   UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.”   There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚
