The Emirates Red Crescent, through the UAE Embassy in Sudan, has presented three integrated solar-powered stations to provide water in areas experiencing scarcity of this vital resource in Sudan's North Kordofan State
The great initiative is part of ERC's efforts to expand the scope of Suqia UAE projects in many countries that face challenges to provide safe drinking water sources due to drought.
Over 75,000 people will benefit from these stations in Jebrat Al Sheikh locality, as well as the villages of Wadi Al Habal, Umm Shajira and Raheed Abu Sita in North Kordofan state
Beneficiaries of Jebrat al Sheikh locality lauded the wise leadership of the UAE, and expressed their appreciation to the ERC and the UAE Embassy in Khartoum for this generous initiative
