Mr Maqsoud Kruse congratulates President Mohamed bin Zayed


Mr Maqsoud Kruse congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on behalf of the NHRI Deputy Chairperson and the Board of Trustees, wishing him wellbeing and success in performing his duties and continuing to elevating the UAE's status worldwide

And said "We congratulate the UAE and its people for the decision Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates made while unanimously electing His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE, a choice that in no uncertain way evidences the great trust placed by the nation in him. We pray to Allah Almighty to bring him success, and to aid him in his drive to advance the UAE's efforts to ensure protection of human rights and achieve more progress and prosperity for the nation "

He said that we will not forget the positions of the great late Sheikh Khalifa, who has always been the owner of human rights that guide everyone

According to the results of the "Edelman Trust 2021" index, issued yesterday by the American "Edelman" Foundation for Studies and Consultations, the Emirati people's confidence in their government has reached 80%. The UAE renews its commitment to support the efforts of the African Union to resolve the dispute between Ethiopia and Egypt regarding the exploitation of the Nile River.

UAE urges UN to drop ‘Islamic State’ name when referring to Daesh

The UAE has called on United Nations organizations to stop using the term ‘Islamic State’ when referring to Daesh, during the UN Security Council in New York, arguing that the extremists should not be associated with the religion.   UAE Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires, Mohamed Abushahab said ijn his address that organizations should not “permit Daesh and other groups to hijack a religion of tolerance and give credence to their pretences.”   There is nothing Islamic about terrorism 🤚
