Construction completed on UAE's first waste-to-energy plant

Construction of our country's first waste-to-energy plant has been completed, with the project now entering the testing and commissioning phase The Sharjah Waste to Energy plant is the first project of Emirates Waste to Energy, a joint venture established by Beeah Energy, the renewable energy business of Beeah Group, and Masdar, one of the world's leading renewable energy companies. Once tested, commissioned and operational, the plant will enable Sharjah to become the Middle East's first zero-waste city, turning unrecyclable waste into clean energy and increasing the current landfill diversion rate from 76 per cent to 100 per cent. ERC provides three water-saving stations to Sudan's North Kordofan state

The Emirates Red Crescent, through the UAE Embassy in Sudan, has presented three integrated solar-powered stations to provide water in areas experiencing scarcity of this vital resource in Sudan's North Kordofan State The great initiative is part of ERC's efforts to expand the scope of Suqia UAE projects in many countries that face challenges to provide safe drinking water sources due to drought. Over 75,000 people will benefit from these stations in Jebrat Al Sheikh locality, as well as the villages of Wadi Al Habal, Umm Shajira and Raheed Abu Sita in North Kordofan state Beneficiaries of Jebrat al Sheikh locality lauded the wise leadership of the UAE, and expressed their appreciation to the ERC and the UAE Embassy in Khartoum for this generous initiative 

NASA, Industry to Collaborate on Space Communications by 2025

NASA selected six American satellite communications (SATCOM) providers on April 20 to begin developing and demonstrating near-Earth space communication services that may support future agency missions For more than a year, the agency has been evaluating the feasibility of employing commercial SATCOM networks for near-Earth operations as it works to decommission its near-Earth satellite fleet.  This approach would allow NASA to focus more time and resources on its deep space exploration and science missions.

Andrea Matteo Fontana - EU Ambassador to the UAE, we had productive discussions on matters related to Human Rights.  And there's a lot to prove the country’s interest in human rights. 

An agreement between “Wajib” and applied technology to promote volunteering
